The Pchem Haptoglobin Reagent Kit has been designed for the quantitative in vitro determination of Haptoglobin (HAP) in human serum by turbidimetric immunoassay.
This kit is intended for In vitro diagnostic use only, must not be sold to the general public and the test has to be carried out by a health-care professional person.
The kit contains reagents sufficient for 194 tests.
Acute phase protein. Transport molecule for haemoglobin.
Increased levels of HAP are reported in acute inflammation, collagenoses, coronary disorders, Hodgkin's disease, nephrotic syndrome and tuberculosis.
Decreased levels of HAP are found in haemolytic anaemia, liver disease, congenital deficiencies and acute malaria.
Measurement of antigen-antibody reaction by the end-point method.
